The article focuses on spirit of sociologist Koichi Iwabuchi which calls study of cultural globalization by intra-Asian relation and attempt to analysis in study of transnational flow of popular culture. Topics discussed incldue opposing tendencies of Korean and Hindi popular cinemas, South Korean Film Renaissance of the 1990s which occurred within globalization and storytelling of Korean cinema that blends generic conventions of thriller with family melodrama. |
