Abstrakt:	The authors discuss a study published within the issue which explored survival, health status and care among stroke survivors living in a re homes using the South London Stroke Register cohort data. Topics include the systematic differences between the populations moving into a are home from their counterparts who can be discharged to their own homes and the challenges of identifying those living in care homes within large clinical and administrative datasets.
