Abstrakt: This article focuses on a national survey which was conducted by Spanish Society of rheumatology with the objective of knowing the prevalence of the most relevant rheumatological condition (lumbar pain, Rheumatoid arthritis, knee and hand osteoarthritis, fibromialgia and osteoporosis). The survey was performed in primary care centers in a subset of patient representing the national population, having and acceptance rate of 73%. Researchers found a 3.4% prevalence of osteoporosis in adult Spanish population, being of 6.6% in people older than 40 years and of 9.2% in more than 50 years old.
