Abstrakt: The relevance of the study is due to the fact that today the ubiquitous development of digital technologies - robotics and automation, the Internet of Things, global networks and mass digitalization - allow to bring research and optimization of processes to a new level. The aim of the study is to improve the business process management systems by increasing flexibility and reducing the cost of supporting them through intellectualization based on advanced ontology. The information and empirical basis of the study was six Sigma process management research, Vil van der Aalst's research, as well as analysis of the best practices of companies: Vodafone, Siemens, ABBYY, ABB, SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, etc. The stages of introducing Cost Mindset as a culture of maximizing resource utilization and cost management are presented, allowing you to influence the costs. The highlights of the development of the architecture of the multi-agent system of business process management based on knowledge are presented. The practical significance of this study is that the results will allow the heads of educational institutions and other companies to develop an understanding of the specifics of modern approaches to cost optimization and develop strategies to improve the efficiency of processes, which will offset the impact of the crisis on the operational activities of business processes.
