A new species of the genus Airapus Stebnicka & Howden, 1996, A. sulawesianus sp. nov. from Indonesia (Sulawesi), is described and illustrated. Characters important for the differentiation of the new species from all the still described species of the genus are discussed with taking into account taxa from both the Oriental as well as Australian Regions.
