Abstrakt: The article discusses the association of NAT2 polymorphisms with sporadic breast cancer. Breast cancer (BC) is among the most common malignancies in women, accounting for 18.3% of all oncological diseases in Russia. By NAT2 activity, it is possible to isolate groups of fast, intermediate, and slow acetylators (earlier, only fast and slow acetylators were isolated). Frequencies of the NAT2 alleles substantially vary with population. In Caucasians, the most common slow alleles are clusters NAT25 (T341C) and NAT26 (the characteristic mutation is indicated in parentheses).
