The article focuses on the online education offered to Afghan women after the Taliban ban them from entering school campuses in 2021. California-based non-profit University of the People (UoPeople) launched a remote-learning program for the women starting November 1. The European Union (EU) is funding several scholarships for Afghan women outside the country from the United Nations (UN) Development Programme. UoPeople founder Shai Reshef notes that women can study secretly at the university. |
