The article presents the discussion on systemic mastocytosis (SM) resulting from clonal proliferation of abnormal and aberrant mast cells in various organs and tissues. Topics include originating from mast cell-associated organ dysfunction or overactivity and excessive release of numerous cellular mediators; and leading to organ infiltration and acute and chronic release of mast cell mediators which being occasionally a related clinical manifestation. |
