The use of cyclosporin (Cs) could lead to development of breast fibroadenoma after kidney transplanted patients. However, fibroadenoma in liver transplanted patients is very rare. In our department we follow 45 liver transplanted children. This is the first case of fibroadenoma in 12-year-old girl during the treatment with Cs, 11 years and 6 months after the liver transplantation. The drug monitoring in the past year shows relatively low levels of Cs-31-37 µg/L. Sex hormones are in the normal range, only luteinizing hormone is elevated (19,2 mIU/l (1.1-11.6). The tumor size was 10/20 mm and it was surgically removed. The patient remains on therapy with Cs. Six months later there are no recurrent fibroadenomas. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
