The interdisciplinary heart team plays the key role in the management of patients with cardiovascular diseases [[1]]. A virtual heart team meeting via the app may in fact be advantageous as physicians can review images/patient data from nearly everywhere, without needing to be physically present in the hospital. Urgency of consulting the heart team was considered as emergent (immediate transfer of the patient to cardiac surgery) in 4%, urgent (patient transfer within 24 h) in 75%, semi-elective (within 72 h) in 14%, and elective in 6% of patients (Table 1).
