Abstrakt: India is the second largest rice producer, exporter and consumer after China. These are Sali rice (summer rice); Ahu rice (autumn rice); Boro rice (winter rice); and Bao rice (deep water rice). Mud rice or soft rice comes under non-glutinous summer rice and enjoys a special demand and valued among rural people.
