Lateral stability control of LAPAN missile using incremental-based model reference adaptive control.

Abstrakt: This paper focuses on developing an incremental-based model reference adaptive control (MRAC) system for the RKX-200TJ LAPAN Missile. The mathematical model of the missile is represented by six-degree of freedom (6-DOF) derived from the rigid-body dynamic principle. The model was linearized and decoupled into longitudinal plane and lateral- directional plane. This paper reviews flight stability in lateral plane using aerodynamic characteristics and stability derivatives calculated from Digital DATCOM software. The incremental-based MRAC utilizes the Lyapunov function approach to generate adaptive law parameters. The simulation results show that the proposed method can effectively improve the performance of the missile control system when it experiences an external disturbance during flight.
