The technology of fractionation of trans-plutonium elements (TPEs) and REEs with the use of 0.15 M TODGA (tetraoctylamide of diglycolic acid) + 5% n-decanol in Isopar-M as extractive agent was tested on high-activity raffinates characteristic of high-activity wastes formed in processing of spent fuel from nuclear power plants. The mixture satisfies the explosion-and-fire safety requirements and possesses the necessary hydrodynamic characteristics. A >99.99% recovery was reached in the extraction stage. In the re-extraction stage of TPEs, it was possible to provide their nearly full purification to remove yttrium, with 70% of lanthanides remaining in the TPE fraction. All the metals were quantitatively recovered from the organic phase in the stage of REE re-extraction. The increase in the degree of separation of TPEs and REEs is provided by lowering the concentration of the extractive agent (TODGA). The radiation hardness of the mixture was examined.
