To document compliance with grid code requirements, an extensive test program is needed in many countries. Several Transmission System Operators have comprehensive test procedures for Grid Code testing on every Power Plant Module (PPM), where the Grid Code is tested. This is a long and time-consuming process that is highly dependent on wind and grid conditions. This paper presents how tests can be split between site test and simulator tests, and still cover the content of the grid code by following the upcoming IEC 61400-21-2 standard. Results from one simulator test and measurements from three wind farms will be presented. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
