Evaluation Emergency Nurses' Attitudes about Coronavirus Disease 2019 Prevention in Baghdad City Hospitals.

Abstrakt: Background: The COVID-19 outbreak has excitement about the subjects of healthcare workers (HCWs) abilities' toward challenges of infection prevention and risks faced by frontline HCWs. Objective: This study aims to evaluate the level of nurses' attitudes about infection prevention and control related to the Covid-19 outbreak in emergency units in Baghdad city hospitals. Methods: A cross-sectional study based on survey design are conducting in this study and through a self-administered questionnaire include 18 questions given to the respondents was collected data of subjects study during period of pandemic disease extended from 2 November 2020 to 10 March 2021. Results: The total participants were (n=817), 38.7% were male and 61.3% were female. The study showed that the overall result evaluation of respondents'' attitudes regarding covid-19 prevention at emergency units in Baghdad city positive and high (73.7) Conclusions: The study shows that nurses' have positive attitudes toward Covid-19 and its prevention. The study recommends that nurses' in the frontline need to continue strengthening their attitudes regarding Covid-19 prevention to be more positive to fight this pandemic. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
