Three specimens of whitecheek monocle bream, Scolopsis vosmeri (Bloch) were collected from Iraqi marine waters in the northwest Arabian Gulf. This is a substantial, confirmed record of this species from Iraqi marine waters. Body coloration characterizes this species.
