Petilianus, a donatist Bishop.

Abstrakt: Petilianus is regarded as the most important and famous Donates bishop in Africa Church, in the late 4 century; it a distinguish character, he was known for debating in Carthage held in 441 B.C., he known as speeches and criticism and letters sent to the Saint Augustine who propose to him in one of his letter to be separate from the catholic church for what he considered as spirit contamination through repeating baptism. At the beginning, Petilianus was a great lawyer, good speaker before he was chosen as bishop of Cirta town (Constantine at present) in 395, from its works we note: a book criticizing the Catholic Church, letter criticizing the bishop the Saint Augustine and a book on Baptism. He, also, present many preaches in debates in Carthage, he immortalize its name through history of African church. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
