Abstrakt: The results of an experimental study of UV absorption and luminescence of an aqueous solution of coenzymes NAD (NADH) and NADP (NADPH) triphosphate at ambient conditions are presented. High-temperature fluorescence is caused by two different optical centers, belonging to adenine and nicotinamide aromatic systems. The spatial form of coenzyme molecules is modeled by quantum-mechanics calculations, and the mechanism of such fluorescence is proposed and discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
