Additionally, in order to showcase the power of neutrons beyond scattering, several lectures on topics such as nuclear forensics, materials irradiation, isotope production and boron neutron capture therapy were included on the last day of the school. For many decades, the neutron facilities at Chalk River have enabled innovation and development of new neutron scattering methods and techniques including the Nobel Prize winning invention of triple-axis spectroscopy (TAS) by Bertram N. Brockhouse. We organized the virtual school program similar to the traditional one-week Chalk River neutron scattering schools with morning lectures followed by practical sessions in the afternoons.
