Incidence of hay fever in the U.S. than in Europe; Symptoms of hay fever; Causes of the disease; Types of hay fever; Factors responsible for variations in hay fever seasons in different sections of the country; Susceptibility of individuals to proteins present in pollen grains or other sources in causing the hay fever; Influence of heredity on the development of the disease; Persons who are more subject to the disease; Investigation that the largest number of hay fever cases is that of the farmer; Tests which can be employed to verify the diagnosis of hay fever; Classification of ninety percent of the offending pollens into four biological groups; Importance of hygienic measures with regard to diet and particularly those directed towards obtaining a pollen-free environment; Drugs used to stabilize the nervous system; Practice of immunization in the treatment of the disease; Risks involved in immunization against hay fever; Educational and legislative aspects of the prevention of hay fever. |
