This article conducts explorative interviews with employees working in the homeoffice during the Covid-19 pandemic to learn about their strategies and challenges in the management of work and non-work domain boundaries. On the basis of identified challenges to manage temporal, physical, and psychological flexibility of boundaries in the homeoffice, a real-world use case is analyzed to understand the potentials of a technologysided tool in support of employees' boundary management strategies in the homeoffice. The analysis of the iPhone downtime feature reveals implemented digital nudging design mechanisms and conversation-driven elements to influence user decision-making according to their desired behavior. This contributes a practice-oriented solution to the real-life challenge of managing work and non-work domain boundaries and also provides an employee-centric research perspective on how to put nudge design into practice.
