A field experiment was carried out during rabi 2018-19 and 2019-20 at the experimental farm of Research Substation (Terai Zone) Kharibari, UBKV, Darjeeling, West Bengal to determine the Bio-efficacy of some newer insecticides against wheat aphids. The insecticide Acephate 50 + Imidacloprid 1.8 SP was found to be the most effective with 82.2% overall reduction of aphid population over control. The next effective insecticide was Imidacloprid 17.8% SL with 75.76% followed by Thiamethoxam 25 WG (70.02%), Clothianidin 50 WDG (67.53%) and Buprofezin 25 EC (61.14%) with respect to reduction of aphid population over control.
