Field experiments were conducted in randomized block design with nine treatments viz, Thiamethoxam 25 WDG @ 100 g/ha, Imidacloprid 17.8 SL @ 150 ml/ha, Nuvaluron 10 EC @ 500 ml/ha, Spinosad 45 SC @ 200 ml/ha, NSKE @ 2 l/ha, Neemrin 1500 ppm @ 3 l/ha, Beauveria bassiana 2x109 CFU @ 2.5 kg/ha, Metarrhizium anisopliae 2x109 CFU @ 2.5 kg/ha, Dimethoate 30 EC @ 1000 ml/ha and Untreated control. Among the various treatments evaluated for their bio-efficacy against cabbage butterfly, Pieris brassicae (L.) on the mustard crop during rabi 2016-17 and 2017-18 at SVP University of Agriculture and Technology, Meerut, the spray of Spinosad 45 SC @ 200 ml/ha followed by Novaluron 10 EC @ 500 ml/ha proved to be the best treatments with mean cabbage butterfly larval population of 6.11 and 7.00 during 2016-17, while 4.33 and 5.50 cabbage butterfly larvae recorded from five randomly selected plant during 2017-18. Spinosad 45 SC @ 200 ml/ha was the most effective among the nine insecticides and biorationals showing the minimum numbers of P. brassicae larvae followed by Novaluron 10 EC @ 500 ml/ha and Dimethoate 30 EC @ 1000 ml/ha.
