A differential spectrophotometry method for quantitation of the total flavonoid content of moringa leaves (Moringa oleifera) using aluminum chloride is developed. The following optimal conditions for extracting flavonoids from moringa plant material are established and substantiated: 70% ethyl alcohol as an extraction solvent, a 1 : 200 ratio of the plant material to the solvent, an extraction duration of 90 min, and a crude drug granulation of 1.0 mm.
