Even though program rating was primarily a matter of broadcaster’s choice which depended solely on their own will to tag or not to tag the programs, nowadays there exists a unified content rating system in most of European countries. Mostly, it works based on country specific ratings of self-regulation that differ from country to country. Slovak Republic is one of the first Central European countries who introduced their own content rating system applicable nationwide at the beginning of third millennium. The article deals with Slovak viewers’ point of view concerning the topic in three different time frames. It gathers public opinion expressed throughout the last 18 years. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
