Abstrakt: |
The article describes the case of a 71-year-old man with systemic air embolism and mediastinal emphysema after pneumonia. The patient was presented with coughing, dyspnea, fever and 83 percent dioxygen saturation at room air. He was diagnosed with influenza and bacterial pneumonia. He suffered cardiac arrest and subsequently died. Postmortem computed tomography revealed mediastinal emphysema, subcutaneous emphysema, and air embolism in the systemic and pulmonary circulation. |
