Spectroscopic analysis of ReBa2NbO6 [Re = Y, Sm and Gd] nanoparticles.

Abstrakt: This paper reports the synthesis of nanoparticles of ReBa2NbO6 (Re=Y, Sm and Gd) using a modified single-step combustion process, for the first time. Structural conformation is done by means of XRD and vibrational spectroscopic analysis. The studies show that sample transforms from orthorhombic to cubic structure on annealing at 1000°C. The band gap and dielectric properties of the samples are also investigated. The samples are sintered in a temperature range of 1350-1400°C without any sintering aid. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
