The pth order inverse exponential distribution (POIED) was introduced by Arora and Sachdev (2015 a, b). We, in this paper discussed many properties of POIED, viz. skewness, kurtosis, mode and obtained maximum likelihood estimates of unknown parameters of POIED. Recurrence relations among moment generating functions of dual generalized order statistics from POIED are also derived. These recurrence relations are generalized versions of recurrence relations found by Joshi (1978, 1982), Balakrishnan and Rao (1998), Balakrishnan and Malik (1986), Balakrishnan and Joshi (1984), Mohie El-Din et al.
