Issues of modeling the heating of body parts of machinery by the thermo-irradiation method are considered. Results of a theoretical investigation of the heat balance of infrared irradiation power when heating body parts are described. A new mathematical model of heating of polymer coated body parts is proposed, which enables the calculation of design and technological parameters of the infrared heating of the body parts of transmission unit.
