Abstrakt: The search for toxic chromium-containing anticorrosive pigments replacement by modern primers has long been in the scientists' and practitioners' field of interest. In recent years, attempts to use complex metal oxides as pigments capable of inhibiting steel corrosion have been among the most promising areas of this search. In this work, we proceed from the similarity of chromium and manganese properties, which can be in different oxidation states and are characterized by a high ability to participate in complexation reactions We used ceramic manganite and manganite sulfate, including manganese in formal oxidation states of +4 and +5, respectively. As a result of the study, it was found that both products have anticorrosive properties, and the oxide containing manganese in a higher oxidation state and having a higher pH of the aqueous extract showed a higher inhibitory ability.
