The effect of antirust oil amount on the surface state and corrosion resistance of DP590 dual-phase steel was studied by electrochemical measurements and three-dimensional morphology analysis. The results showed that the corrosion resistance of DP590 steel was affected by the quantity and quality of the antirust oil coated on it. The DP590 steel coated with 800 mg/m² of antirust oil exhibited a superior finish with high smoothness and excellent corrosion resistance. However, an antirust oil film of higher amount had poor smoothness and distributed nonuniformly due to the local aggregation, accelerating the corrosion of DP590 steel. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
