Abstrakt: Digital myxoid cyst sometimes mimics phaeohyphomycotic cyst, but myxoid cyst is somewhat translucent on appearance, situated towards the distal end of the digit, and it does not have a cystic wall as it is a pseudocyst. Albeit, subcutaneous phaeohyphomycosis is a rare mycotic infection in an immunocompromised host, however the index case presented phaeohyphomycosis as a nodulocystic swelling over the finger which is rarely seen in an immunocompetent host. Mycetoma can present like the index case and moreover, microscopic examination of eumycetomas are composed of fungal hyphae that may be pigmented, but unlike phaeohyphomycosis, the hyphae are organized in large collective grains.
