Abstrakt: After an uneventful recovery and discharge, the patient underwent an elective bypass for exclusion of his right popliteal aneurysm and later an elective exclusion bypass for his left popliteal aneurysm. Specifically, in the right popliteal artery, there was a complex, bilobed aneurysm measuring 50 mm in maximal diameter, with evidence of a wall of reactive connective tissue surrounding old haematoma, again, in keeping with chronic contained rupture (CCR) (Fig. This revealed a 77 × 67 mm (maximal diameter in axial dimension) aneurysm of the infrarenal abdominal aorta (AAA), contiguous with a large, left posterolateral radio-opaque structure consistent with a retroperitoneal haematoma.
