Tracing the public of the first Parisian library for art and archaeology: on the readership at Doucet's library (1910-1914).

Abstrakt: The article discusses the establishment of a public art and archaeology library by art collector Jacques Doucet in Paris, France in the early 20th century. Topics explored include the 18th century art collection of Doucet which consisted of sculptures, prints, and decorative objects, the involvement of librarian René-Jean of the Union centrale des Arts décoratifs (UCAD) in the development of the library, and a brief overview of the readership and visitors recorded by the library.
