Abstrakt:	The author comments on the passage of a law in Canada that allows for assisted suicide for patients with psychiatric disorders who find their conditions unbearable. Topics covered include the evolution of Bill C-14, a law permitting medical euthanasia and physician-assisted suicide, together known as Medical Aid In Dying (MAID), the objections to psychiatrist-assisted suicide in Canada, and concluding thoughts to Bill C-7 and similar laws.
