Abstrakt: |
This paper shows that 6912F ultra-high-density optical fiber cable (UHFC) using 16F Rollable Ribbon made from 200 μm diameter optical fiber. 16F Rollable Ribbons implemented into this cable contribute to better workability in the field since the fusion splice is faster than the work time with the use of conventional 12F Rollable Ribbons. And the cable achieves an outer diameter under 30 mm. The size cable can be installed into the conduit with the inner diameter of 1.25 inches. It is also found that excellent results of the cable regarding temperature and mechanical characteristics are obtained. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
