Morning dew dampened our pant legs as my boyfriend Marc-André Leclerc and I rushed up the overgrown trail toward the base of Slesse. Marc grew up in the nearby Fraser Valley, where the giant peaks of the horizon appeared to expand endlessly into a wild world of rambling ridgetops and glacier-clad slopes. Following Marc's lead, I scrambled down the south side of Slesse's main summit, and then traversed the Crossover ridge. [Extracted from the article] |
