The article focuses on causative agents and pathogenicity in iatrogenic cutaneous autoimmune diseases (ICAID). In this paper, important data on ICAID published during the past 5 years have been reviewed. Although the main focus has been on ICAlD as a result of chemotherapy, other modes of therapy such as photochemotherapy and allogeneic bone marrow transplantation have been briefly considered. In addition, aspects of the pathogenesis of bullous ICAID in particular and of iatrogenic autoimmunity in general are reviewed and discussed. |
