Objective: To observe clinical effect of warming-needle moxibustion combining with menstrual cycle therapy in the treatment of follicular dysplasia. Methods: It was randomly divided 61 cases of patients diagnosed as follicular dysplasia clinically into two groups, cycle warming-needle moxibustion group and common warming-needle moxibustion group. There were 30 cases in the cycle warming-needle moxibustion group, and 31 cases in the common warming-needle moxibustion group. All of the patients in the two groups should give corresponding treatment for three menstrual cycle. It compared the change of basal body temperature (BBT) of patients in two groups before and after the treatment. Moreover, it recorded follicular maturation time, diameter of the largest follicle, ovulation rate and development situation of endometrium. Results: Comparison of BBT biphasic rate, diameter of the largest follicle, follicular maturation time and ovulation rate between the common warming-needle moxibustion group and cycle warming-needle moxi-bustion group indicated that the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Moreover, comparison of thickness of endometrium between common warming-needle moxibustion group and cycle warming-needle moxibustion group indicated that the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.01). Conclusions: Treatment of follicular dysplasia with warming-needle moxibustion combining with menstrual cycle therapy could increase BBT biphasic rate. Besides, the therapeutic method could prompt development and maturation of follicle, increase ovulation rate and improve development situation of endometrium. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
