NEWS Robert Opron, who died on 29 March aged 89, became head of design at Citroën after the death in 1964 of Flaminio Bertoni. It was Opron who created the futuristic Fulgur show car of 1958 RENAULT 25 The CX was a wake-up call for Renault, which was keen to recruit Opron - who in turn was apparently glad to leave a Peugeot-run Citroën. CITROËN AMI 6 ESTATE Opron worked with Flaminio Bertoni on the highly successful Ami 6 estate, the original mock-up of which was shaped in plaster on a saloon shell. [Extracted from the article] |
