The article focuses on the results of the ION Mid North Sea High (MNSH) Prime three-dimensional (3D) seismic survey of the Zechstein play in Great Britain. Topics discussed include the discovery of various halokinesis amounts in the Top Zechstein which affected the Bacton group Triassic strata, presence of karstification and sinkhole-type features in the Z3 Plattendolomit unit, and emergence of the Z2 Hauptdolomit as the most prospective reservoir. |
