(b) Tear Size: Patients who never experienced extreme pain postoperatively had the largest tear size (mean 4 cm2), and patients with the highest frequency of extreme pain had the smallest tears (mean 2 cm2). We then extracted data of numbers of fractures, gender of patients, initial fracture subtype and non-union fracture subtype. 7 described patients with distal femur fractures that included initial fracture pattern and progression to union or non-union, while 4 described only fracture non-union.
