Abstrakt: This article presents information about the research paper entitled "Studies of interactions between porcine skin bacteria," presented by R. P. Allaker, D. H. Lloyd and I. S. Mason at the British Society for Investigative Dermatology Annual Meeting, Cambridge, September 1987. Interactions between Staphylococcus hyicus, the causative organism of exudative epidermitis of pigs, and antibiotic producing porcine skin bacteria have been investigated to select strains which may reduce S. hyicus colonization in vivo and so prevent disease.
