The article presents the discussion on policy issues associated with Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) and addressing issues such as lethality assessment in domestic violence cases. Topics include expanding protections for transgender people and enforcement of the federal prohibition on firearms for convicting misdemeanor crime of domestic violence; and expanding tribal jurisdiction over certain crimes committed on tribal lands. |
