FUNGAL STUDY IN PATIENTS WITH ALLERGIC BRONCHOPULMONARY IN BAQUBAH CITY.

Abstrakt: The current study was conducted to isolate and diagnose fungi from some patients with allergic bronchopneumonia associated. Fifty sputum samples were collected from patients with Allergic bronchopulmonary in Baqubah Teaching Hospital and Chest Diseases Hospital of Diyala Governorate, Iraq during the period from March to July of the year 2019, the results showed is not possible to rely on direct examination of the sputum sample to determine the fungal infection. 126 fungal isolates were obtained from 39 patients; the fungal isolates belong to five genera which were Aspergillus, Penicillium, Alternaria, Rhizopus, Cladosporium. Aspergillus recorded the highest number of fungal isolates which was (108) isolates in percentage of (85.7%), and A. niger fungi recorded the highest percentage of frequency and occurrence compared with other fungi. The study showed that the high incidence of Aspergillosis was in women than men, among the city residents than the Village residents, age groups between (31- 40) years had the highest incidence of the disease, in the smokers groups the Aspergillosis incidence was lower than in non-smokers [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
