The aim of this work is to perform numerical simulations of the flow emitted from a bent chimney and impacting on the obstacles using the ANSYS/Fluent calculation code. The finite volume method (MFV) is used to solve the equations that describe the flow. The mesh size adopted is refined triangular near the buildings and the chimney. We started with a validation, the numerical results obtained in this study are in good agreement with those found in the literature. Next, we determine in particular the influence of height, and the form of obstacles downstream of the chimney on the dispersion of pollutants. The results found show that ney, the height and form of the obstacles modify the flow, conditions the emission intensity at ground level and the dispersion of pollutants. The presence of an obstacle with a significant effect on the evolution of the ejected pollutant and consequently on its environment. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
