Abstrakt: The influence of difference contents of active admixture on the mechanical property of pervious concrete was studied, and the component and microstructure of the pervious concrete were discussed. The results demonstrate that pervious concrete compressive strength is firstly decreased and then increased with the increase of added ground slag or silica fume, while pervious concrete compressive strength increased with increasing content of fly ash. Ground slag and fly ash can significantly decrease the early compressive strength of pervious concrete. Microscopic analysis showed the main reason of decreasing or improving compressive strength is the change of microstructure of hydration products when ground slag, fly ash or silica fume is less. While the main reason of improving compressive strength is the improvement of microstructure of hydration products and the increase of C-S-H gel and AFt content when ground slag, fly ash or silica fume is more. Besides, this result indicates that addition of ground slag and fly ash has an obvious setting retarding effect on pervious concrete. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
