Additionally, there were 11 patients with significant shunts (Spencer Grade >= 3) on TCD in which 4 of these patients had negative results with a TTE. We evaluate a fully autonomous robotic TCD system (NovaGuide System (NGS), NovaSignal, Los Angeles, CA) to perform bubble studies in stroke patients to detect and assess the presence of PFO compared to transthoracic echocardiogram (TTE) B Methods b : A total of 14 patients with an average age of 65 years old were diagnosed with a stroke. All patients underwent TCD monitoring using either Spencer (manual TCD) and robotic TCD (NovaGuide, NovaSignal, Los Angeles, CA). All patients received Robotic TCD bubble study with the NGS to autonomously search, acquire and monitor bilateral middle cerebral artery signals to perform TCD Bubble studies.
