Abstrakt: The article discusses new technology in eyes' examination of horses, together with useful techniques that greatly enhance the ease and amount of information obtained, as well as safeguarding the damaged eye. When transported to the hospital or examined under more difficult circumstances, additional restraint is necessary to protect the eye, the examiner and to permit a thorough evaluation. An ocular exam is most likely to identify more subtle abnormalities when performed systematically on each occasion.
