Abstrakt: - ALEKSANDRA CRAPANZANO The Year in Food We dove into the archives, flipped through moldy magazines, and watched way too many Hamburger Helper commercials to bring you a sampling of 1971's biggest moments by ALEX BEGGS Charlie and the Sponsored Content Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, starring Gene Wilder, was the first - and perhaps only - movie to be produced by a food corporation, Quaker Oats, which launched two candy bars alongside the film's release. There, prison officials used food - the persistent coldness of it, the lack of nutrients in it, the sheer nastiness of it - as a weapon of control.
